A prefect Fall weekend

Our Maple Tree

This was a perfect Fall weekend. The weather was seasonal, the colors of the trees are beautiful and the nursery is now complete.

The furniture for the nursery came in, which we picked up on Saturday and Jacob put it together when we got home. The nursery is now complete and looks absolutely adorable. Now we just need little Sophia to decide she is ready to join us out here.

We have 4 more days until the due date and the anticipation really is something else. It is like a count down to the moment our lives are going to change forever. It can be overwhelming but really I am looking forward to meeting the little person that has been kicking me and keeping me up at night. I think I am going to miss her moving around, it really is entertaining. I know she will do and say other things for the first time that we will be entertained with but feeling her moving all about daily has become something I look forward to from the moment I get up.

I have had an amazing pregnancy and couldn't have enjoyed it as much as I have without Jacob. He truly is the perfect person to share these special moments with. He has taken care of me, entertained me and supported me throughout this whole journey. I tell Sophia all the time what a lucky girl she is to have Jacob as her daddy. She will be loved, adored and entertained by him but most importantly he will love her no matter what. I can't wait to see them together.

Until tomorrow... hopefully Sophia won't make us wait much longer.

15 more days

Yep that's right.....we have 15 more days until our little one is due to arrive. We had a Dr's appointment today which went as good as all the other appointments. We are on the weekly schedule of appointments and last week was the internal exam. Today we asked if she could tell us how big the baby will be. The Dr said it's hard to estimate the weight of the baby however she thinks the baby will be around 7.5 or 8 lbs. We are not sure if that meant the baby weighs that now or that is how much it will weigh when she is born. I am hoping that is the estimated weight for the delivery date because if its now, the baby will be huge in 2 weeks. Honestly as long as the baby is healthy than we are happy but phew... 10 lbs baby sounds a little scary to me.

We have an AC DC concert to go to on Sunday..... Let's just hope she waits until after Sunday to arrive.

3 more weeks....

We are now at 37 weeks and have just about 2.5 weeks until our due date. We are full with anticipation, excitement and anxiety. Well I am, J is much more relaxed than I am which is always good. We can't wait to see what little Sophia will look like and if she does come out a Sophia !! Her room is almost completed, we are waiting for the furniture to get delivered but we do have a bassinet and a pack n play in case she makes her entrance into this world a little early. All clothes have been washed, sorted and put away. She has a lot of blankets and towels that are homeless right now but when we get the dresser they will have somewhere to reside.

Lately our little bundle of joy has been moving a lot but mostly at night when I sit down to relax. She really only kicks or moves for me and J which I find really amusing. My sister is disappointed that she hasn't felt her yet but honestly she doesn't move on command. She waits all day until I am exhausted and sitting down, than its time to party in there. She likes the morning too when her daddy cuddles with her. She loves kicking his hand, she is just saying hello and that she can't wait to meet him.

This is me coming home from work, 37 weeks along..
